Kids Caring at Christmas

The staff at Chadron Primary School have decided  that instead of having students purchase a gift for a gift exchange with their classmates at their class Christmas parties December 21st, students are encouraged to bring non perishable foods to put under our Christmas tree.  The food items that are received will be donated to a local food pantry and will be distributed to families in our community who are in need.
If your child wants to bring a food item to school, we will be collecting these food items from December 3rd thru December 19th. Thank you for your help in making our “Kids Caring at Christmas” Project a success.

December 21st Assistance Requested

Chadron Primary School is excited to launch a day of learning and fun the day before Christmas Break.  Each grade level has a variety of hands-on activities designed with our curriculum in mind but centered around holiday themes.  Students will rotate between stations designed by teachers and each grade level has specific times and party plans.  Here is our request - with so many students and hands-on activities we are asking for volunteers to help in classrooms as we create, move, and learn.  While we adore our younger visitors, we do ask that on this date you make arrangements for younger children so attention can be given to our K-2 students and activities.  We will have all supplies and activities organized; however, extra supervision and assistance would be appreciated.  If you are available, please contact the Primary School for specific times and activities.  Thank you in advance for joining our Chadron Primary family for a day of Holiday fun.

Domino's Field Trip

Thank you to Domino's Pizza of Chadron for hosting our Kindergarten classes for a "field trip" to the store.  Each class was able to have their own time to observe food safety and preparation as well as the workings of a restaurant.  One of the favorites of the trip was to sample the pizzas they made.  Our students were also excited to ride the bus across town as this is the first experience for many and the opportunity to enjoy a few hours of education in addition to curriculum is one our children will not forget.  Thank you again to the staff at Domino's Pizza for this wonderful experience.

CSC Art Students Visit Chadron Primary

Chadron State College art students have been visiting Chadron Primary School and offering elements of art education.  Our students have been very excited to welcome the CSC students and have enjoyed the lessons presented.  A HUGE thank you to Trudy Denham and her students for coordinating this effort.

Box Tops Winners

Congratulations to Mrs. Ferguson's first grade class for earning a pizza party celebration for collecting the most Box Tops.  Box Tops for Education is a program that awards schools compensation for collecting box tops from General Mills products.  We are able to purchase playground balls and equipment with the money we earn and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of the individuals and families that collected and contributed to our October drive.  Well done Ferguson kiddos!
