UNL Virtual Field Trip

On Tuesday, Mrs. Landreth’s class participated in a virtual field trip to Morrill Hall in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mrs. Landreth was awarded the Roger’s Scholarship to cover the costs of the program, Animals in the Hall. Prior to the field trip, students worked in teams to create dioramas based on native Nebraskan animals. During the field trip, Ms. Annie guided us around the dioramas at Morrill Hall. We learned about the job of a zoologist, predators, prey and other animals native to our area. As rural residents in the state, students were able to name many of the animals in the hall. This was a fun, interactive way to learn about the animals near us as well as reinforce key concepts in our animals unit for science class. We would like to give a big shout out to our technology department for helping to make this happen.  We would also like to say a big thank you to Jennifer and Annie as well as all the others at UNL who made this possible for us.
