Kindergarten Visitation Day ~ Friday, May 3, 2024

 

Please make a note on your calendar; if you have current Kindergarten students or an incoming Kindergarten student...  Current Kindergarten students will not attend school on Friday, May 3rd so we can host our incoming Kindergarten students from 9-11 am.  Please see the flyers for more details on the date and the immunization clinic put on by WCHR.

Bounous Class Earns Pizza Party!

 

Mrs. Bounous’s First Grade Class was the classroom that turned in the most Domino’s sheets to earn a pizza party in the classroom.  As a school we were able to earn over $900 thanks to the support of our Domino’s Pizza and Chadron Primary families who helped support our School Night Out event.  Mrs. Bounous’s class enjoyed the pizza celebration and we all want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible!

Domino's School Night a HUGE Success

 Domino's Pizza of Chadron has been a tremendous supporter of Chadron Public Schools and last week was no different!  Domino's hosted a School Night designated for Chadron Primary School and this event raised over $900 for our school.  These funds help us provide additional supplements to the classrooms, PBIS program, and outdoor equipment.  We thank Domino's for their continued support of our school and greater district, we are so grateful for all you do! 

2nd Grade Students Explore A Variety of Countries

Second grade students recently completed a unit on country exploration and were able to showcase their knowledge by presenting to one another.  Groups of students conducted research about their chosen country and then created tri-fold posters along with facts and additional information.  In addition to research, students were able to bring a food dish from their chosen country to share with their class.  Students had a great time in this unit and learned so much! A big thank you to our second grade families for helping contribute food for this event as well.

Challenge Days 2024

 

Students from Chadron Primary School participated in the annual Chadron State College Challenge Days.  Students are invited up to the NPAC to try a variety of activities that challenge their body/mind coordination.  The event is hosted by the HPER department and with the help of Dr. Hoffman and Mrs. Rischling, college students are able to teach small groups of students the skills to try a rotation of activities.  This is always an exciting morning for our K-2 students and we thank everyone involved in making this a huge success!

Here is an easy way to earn Box Tops for Education for Chadron Primary School: we hope you can help us raise Box Tops funds that help us purchase a variety of small supplies and equipment for children to play with at recess (including playground balls, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, and much more)!

March ~ Cardinals of the Month

 

This week we celebrated our March Cardinals of the Month!  We enjoyed a special breakfast with students who were selected by their homeroom teacher for making outstanding efforts.  Each student was able to share their thoughts about what they would change about school (if they had a magic wand) and what they love about school! We want to congratulate these amazing students for setting such great examples and doing so well.
