Chadron Primary School Monthly Focus for PBIS

Chadron Primary School PBIS team has selected the April Monthly Focus as "Spring Into Action - Healthy Habits".  Once this focus is shared, staff members remind students about healthy habits and we ask for support and reminders at home as well.  Please feel free to utilize the following resources for PBIS supports in your home.

Chadron Primary Students Practice Safety Drills

Students at Chadron Primary School have been practicing many of our school safety drills.  Students recently participated in the statewide tornado drill and took part in taking shelter - in our schools we call this a Shelter Drill.  A few weeks ago, students participated in our Lockdown Drill in which students remained in classrooms and listened to the announcement of "Locks, Lights, Out of Sight".  All students and staff did a tremendous job of being prepared for emergency situations.  Later this Spring we will also practice another Shelter Drill in which students will practice getting in from the playground space and back into the building quickly and safely.  We are so proud of our students and staff and appreciate the guidance from the i love u guys Foundation for protocols.

Students Win Coloring Contest

June Ballard with the Nebraska Woman's Christian Temperance Union presented students with prizes recently following a coloring contest held at Chadron Primary.  Students received monetary prizes and the first place students had their pictures move on to the next level.  We are so proud of the work our students do and excited to see what the future holds for our little artists.

February ~ Cardinals of the Month

Once again some of our youngest Cardinals are proving their worth in the nest!  These students who were selected by their classroom teachers have done an outstanding job of following the Cardinal Way!  They have gone above and beyond the three outlined reminders to 1)Be Safe, 2)Be Respectful, and 3)Be Responsible!  They have set great examples within their classrooms as well as around Chadron Primary School!  We are so proud of the actions of these young students ~ keep up the GREAT work!!
