CSC Women's Basketball Team Visits Chadron Primary School

Chadron Primary School was lucky to have visitors from the Chadron State College Women's Basketball Team.  The players visited with students during lunch and even got in on some recess fun!  We are so thankful to have the support of Chadron State College and to have such wonderful role models for our young Cardinals.  Thanks again ladies and Good Luck on your upcoming season ~ Roll Birds!

Eagle Effort Award

Chadron State College values winning in the classroom just as much as winning on the field and this value has contributed to Chadron State College Athletes being honored with the conference's top team academic awards.  Chadron State College Football team is recognizing students at Chadron Primary School who demonstrate this "Eagle Effort" in the classroom.  The students chosen by each grade level have shown academic growth, help other students, and create a successful learning environment.  This past week, two of our Eagle Effort students were honored at the home game.  Tristan and Oakley were able to meet their football mentors, try on some Eagle jerseys, get certificates and footballs from the team, and were honored on the football field.  Congratulations to our second grade Cardinals on making great choices in and out of school!  We appreciate the efforts of Chadron State College and Chadron State Football players for honoring and celebrating our students!

Kindness Counts

These two sweethearts have gone above and beyond our Cardinal Rules to make kindness count.  During Fur Trade Days this summer Miss Oakley and Miss Kendall set up a lemonade stand downtown and rather than spend their earnings on fun filled things for themselves, they chose to donate their money to lunch funds at Chadron Primary School!  For some of our students who receive assistance with free and reduced lunch funding, getting seconds on lunch entrees means added costs for the family.  With the money Kendall and Oakley donated, we have been able to help students get the food they need.  A huge thank you to both families who are raising these beautiful young girls, we are so proud of your kindness and look forward to watching you grow into amazing young women.  Thank you again!
