100th Day of School

Chadron Primary School celebrated the 100th Day of School on the I 💗 Public Schools Day.  Our students counted, rhymed, wrote, and sang their way throughout the day and were quite creative when it came to celebrating, including aging themselves to 100 years old.  What an exciting day and a great way to celebrate!

Chadron Schools Adds Mental Health Provider

We are excited to offer mental well-being support for our students with the new addition of Dana Tewahade as our district's School Mental Health Provider!

Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resilience in Education) grants promote youth mental health awareness among schools and communities and improve connections to services for school-age youth. Chadron Public Schools was one of three Nebraska schools recently awarded the Project AWARE grant.

Mrs. Dana Tewahade will serve students Pre-K through 12th grade. She is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.  In addition to counseling, Mrs. Tewahade will provide training and education in mental health awareness for school staff, students, parents and community members.

“I am thrilled to be able to promote awareness, provide direct counseling services and get our students connected with our community resources to support their mental well-being. ” commented Tewahade.  “It is an exciting opportunity to help strengthen our schools and community through education and destigmatization.”
